Common questions
How do I check if my phone supports eSIM?
On iPhone open Settings, then General, then About, and scroll to find an EID number. On most Android phones dial *#06# and look for an EID in the list. If an EID exists, the device has eSIM hardware.
Does my phone need to be unlocked?
Yes. A carrier locked handset will refuse a profile from another operator even if the eSIM hardware is present. Phones bought outright or fully paid off are normally unlocked already.
Can I keep my normal SIM at the same time?
Yes. The MoneroSim profile installs alongside your existing physical SIM or eSIM. Keep your usual number for calls and texts and set MoneroSim as the data line while you travel.
What if I have no eSIM support?
An eSIM profile cannot be installed on a device without eSIM hardware. A cheap unlocked travel phone or an eSIM capable hotspot is the usual workaround, and the hotspot can then share the connection with your other devices.
