Terms of service

The service

MoneroSim sells prepaid mobile data delivered as an eSIM profile, carried on third-party partner networks. It is a data-only service. There is no phone number, no SMS and no voice calling over the cellular network, although internet calling applications work normally.

Your balance

A balance is prepaid credit in US dollars. It does not expire, accrues no interest, and is consumed per megabyte at the published rate of the country you are connected in. Rates can change with notice on this site; changes never apply retroactively to data already used.

The recovery token

Your recovery token is the sole means of access. We store only a hash of it and cannot recover it, reissue it or verify your ownership by any other means. Losing it means losing access to the balance. This is a deliberate consequence of anonymity and not a defect.

Acceptable use

The service may not be used for activity that is illegal in your jurisdiction, for network abuse such as spam origination or denial of service, or for commercial resale without an agreement. Partner networks apply their own fair use rules and may restrict sustained industrial-scale traffic from a single profile.

Availability

Coverage depends on partner network agreements and can change. We do not guarantee service in any specific location, and outages affecting a partner network are outside our control. Where a country becomes unavailable, remaining balance stays usable elsewhere.

Refunds

Unused balance is refundable in crypto to an address you supply, minus network fees, for 30 days from purchase. The one-time setup fee is not refundable once a profile has been issued. Refunds are not available on balance already consumed.

Liability

Liability is limited to the amount you paid. We are not liable for indirect losses arising from lack of connectivity, including missed bookings or business interruption. Travellers relying on connectivity for safety-critical purposes should carry redundancy.
